Day 51 -The gift of imagination

This is a picture for all those mothers who feel guilty for not planning amazing activities each day for your children. For those mothers who worry they're not doing enough, that somehow by not offering your child every possible experience and every toy and video made by man, your child won't measure up somehow. I am here to say, it is okay! It's enough and maybe more than you would think. This was an impromptu art activity I threw together after feeling that mom guilt we all get at one time or another. And honestly, I have some pretty great kids and I don't think it is in spite of the fact that I don't buy them every toy and plan their lives at nausea with activities, I think it because I don't. They have wonderful imaginations and I hope they never lose that to some overpriced toy or video game.

  1. I get that alot too. I just finished that book I told you about and research shows that kids learn more through imaginative play than anything else. But the most interesting way they learn is from eating as a family at dinner. They learn, health, manners, language (over 1000 word more than readiing) , social norms, politics, ect.
