One of my all time favorite summer treats (or I suppose anytime treats) is a funnel cake covered in fresh raspberries. I have such fond memories of eating these delightful treats at the local amusement park growing up. Even back then they cost a pretty penny and the group of us would pile around one or two and chow down like pigs at a trough, but we didn't care. My mom eventually found a recipe for them in an American Heritage cookbook (Which she promptly purchased just for said recipe) and ever since then the amusement park has been optional for funnel cake enjoyment. This one came on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
We just made those last Sunday with the same recipe. Definitely one of the best treats!
