As you have probably guessed, I didn't take this picture. This is similar to a picture that was taken of me tonight. It is a picture of a pneumothorax (aka: collapsed lung). Usually a collapsed lung occurs as a result of some sort of trauma... gunshot, knife wound etc. But occasionally it happens spontaneously for no apparent reason (such was my case). I am feeling better (thank you modern medicine), but we are in a "wait and see" situation. Small collapses will heal on their own, larger ones require the insertion of a tube - mine is borderline. You are apparently more likely to have a spontaneous lung collapse if you are tall and thin. Who knew?
OH.MY.HECK. (again with the U-TAR thing) I just got off the phone with Boyd and he was telling me about this. I'm so sorry, please keep us updated. When he said you had to rest and "take it easy" I said to him,"How can she do that, that little girl of hers is an animal!" and he said: "how do you know that?", and I said, "because I read her blog!" So, that said. . . . take it easy!
