Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers. Usually my expectations of Mother's day are nonexistent, which is why this year I was pleasantly surprised. Today I was treated to a little gourmet french toast with a fresh made raspberry compote and crisp bacon. I assure you, the picture does not do it justice, it was divine. I choose to include the background in this shot, rather than an isolated plate to display the cute cup of "weeds/flowers" that my oldest plucked for just the occasion. My recommendation ladies, lower your expectation because just when you do is when they decide to surprise you.
