I have been experimenting with different points of focus. In this shot, I wanted the "Welcome" sign in focus with the flowers blurred. I think it turned out pretty good (Minus that ugly hose in the background). With at least a week going by without any snow, I think it is safe to say "Welcome Spring". (Knock on wood) Here's to hoping for some gardening over the next few weeks.
I disagree about the hose comment. I don't want a welcome to a world that is too composed or perfect. Those aren't just flowers in a vase, all done up and posed. They're part of a home and a garden and the hose helps paint the picture of what we're being welcomed to: the real world were plants need water to be pretty.
