I am conducting a small experiment. 7 days ago a certain member of my family, who will remain nameless, placed this plate of eaten orange on the counter. At the time, they said to me "I will take care of this plate, I am just going to leave it here for now". I am assuming because they had hoped to place these peels in the compost pile at a later time. However, at this point in time I am beginning to wonder exactly what later date that might be. All said and done, it is kind of an interesting picture and a little visually appealing to me (more so if it wasn't sitting on my counter). I will be taking bets as to how long you think this plate will stay on my counter. My guess: 2 1/2 weeks.

This cracks me up. I had a piece of foil that gum is wrapped in on my stairs for WEEKS, waiting for someone to pick it up. I finally caved and picked the darn thing up. This is an experiment that has gone on in every home at some point. DON'T CAVE, STAND FIRM!!
ReplyDeleteHahah. I've done similar experiments, and I always give in & pick it up.
ReplyDeleteIt will be there until you get absolutely fed up and take care of it yourself. I have learned not to take part in games like this. In fact, my mom did it once to my dad because he used to come home from work, take his socks off, and set them on the floor next to the couch. They piled up until my dad was wearing shoes to work without socks and my mom finally caved.
